Southern rock legends round out concert lineup at annual stadium event

 PITTSBURGH – Heinz Field management is excited to announce the final addition to their music lineup for the annual, five-day Heinz Field Kickoff and Rib Fest. Southern Rock legends The Outlaws will headline a free concert outside of Heinz Field on Saturday, September 2.

Formed in late 1964, The Outlaws became pioneers in the music industry adding a mix of country and rock influences to the Southern Rock genre. The Outlaws are known for mega hits such as “(Ghost) Riders in the Sky,” “There Goes Another Love Song” and “Green Grass and High Tides.”

Joining The Outlaws will be special guests the Scooter Brown Band. The country music group is led by former United States Marine, Scott Brown and will be performing songs from their 2015 self-titled album.

The Scooter Brown Band will kick off the night of music at 7:30 p.m. before The Outlaws take the stage at approximately 9 p.m.

The Heinz Field Kickoff and Rib Fest takes place outside of Heinz Field and runs from Thursday, August 31 through Monday, September 4. Each day, the Kickoff and Rib Fest opens its doors at noon and ends at 11 p.m. Fans will be treated to 14 of the country’s best rib vendors and can vote for their favorite.
